Direct project goals

1. Together with partners companies in Iraq,

IQSpaces will strengthen the capacity and skills of Iraqi staff to satisfy the needs of
established Swedish and Iraqi business initiatives.

Thus, Swedish and Iraqi enterprises are supported to flexibly establish and develop their business.

2. Competencies of Swedish know-how in various development
fields are introduced to coach the Iraqi work force in Iraq.
Thus, a practical, group-based and theoretical model for
knowledge-and technology transfer will be created which support
economic growth, the social ability to incorporate new technologies, the competence level of the workforce, capacity building and the
promotion of democratic values.

Long-Term Effects

1. Strengthening the Iraqi public and private sector and the diversified economy with greater participation in international trade based on principles of responsible entrepreneurship.
Special focus will be directed on businesses that are led by/ encourage and involve women and youth Iraqis.

2. Strengthen the Iraqi women’s position and their influence in society by educating and employing women in the company through the equal employment division in the company, that it should stimulate women’s interest in occupations oriented towards the natural sciences and technology.

3. Training entrepreneurs who intend to establish small and big businesses that leads towards trade and investment activities. To enhance individual’s employability status through life-long learning.
