IQSpaces project
The development areas that are in urgent need for capacity,
skills and competence strengthening includes:
1. The areas that need to be addressed promptly are the
fields of adult education and basic and professional vocational
training.
The education could initially target employees in the
fields of health care, housing and construction works,
craftsmanship in various areas, teacher’s training and
pedagogies, social workers as well as higher education.
The task would be to upgrade and to fill in the gaps of competencies
according to modern methodology.
2. There is also great need for bringing about a fundamental change of values and attitudes towards education as a long-term personal investment which creates a future labour market with competitiveness and education as a process of lifelong learning.
3. Modern management and leadership are also important areas of development for heads and managers in both private and public sectors. This will stimulate and spur the creation of modern and flexible organizations in Iraq that facilitate learning in the fields of education, public administration and work life.
